Freestyle
Dressage to Music and Para Equestrian Freestyle Dressage, are particular favourites, Wendy has always been interested in the relationship between movement and music. Like ballet and other forms of dance, at its best, Freestyle should be a physical expression and interpretation of the music. She has always had a passion for music and dance. She and John have been members of Friends of WA Ballet for 20 years, and they never miss a production.
‘Wendy loves to design Freestyle tests, she creates really interesting choreography that judges seem to enjoy, she has been to many many Freestyle Seminars in Australia and in other countries, and has judged a lot of Freestyle for ablebodied dressage and PE competitions. She has really good ideas for the music, and knows how to showcase each horse’s strengths in carefully thought out Freestyle programs.’ Carolyn
‘Ellis Brook has a terrific set up, with a good PA and sound system at the arena because Wendy loves to work on Freestyle. Once we have it all put together, I like to ride through my Freestyle test at Ellis Brook a few times each week for several weeks before a competition so both my horse and I know the music well, and Wendy can fine tune the details with us.’ Sue
